Though the physicality of paddling is much the joy of canoeing, the silence and range extending benefits of electric propulsion compel many to occasionally add a small electric trolling motor to their canoe.  Sometimes considerable effort and talent is invested; Cedric Lynch started by experimenting with the following canoe, then launched two very successful business: Lynch Motor Co and now Agni Motors.
